Heavy Mental is a place where personal and client projects converge into one unidentifiable mass of nothingness. For the most part it presents the work of Federico Urdaneta, a Colombian born, New York based designer, although it also houses projects by a number of different sympathizers. Heavy Mental does a lot of things at once. It does web design, dynamic and database driven when needed. It does straight up graphic design and takes pictures of things. It does music in an electronic and a rock oriented fashion. It does installations with insanely complicated microcontroller / sensor based circuits and sometimes motors. It does some writing as well. Heavy Mental does most of this for pleasure (or as of recently, for school). But it also does them for hard cash.
